The plans for Steak ‘N Shake in Tupelo have been submitted, and here are a few details:
- The restaurant dining area covers 1,308 square feet,
- Total occupancy (not including the kitchen that covers 1,114 square feet) is 88.
- The plan is for 16 tables for two diners each, two tables for four diners each, four small booths for four people each, six large booths for six people each and six counter seats. Optional exterior seating includes four tables for three people each. That brings total seating to 96.
As you might recall, Steak ‘n Shake will be on North Gloster Street at the entrance of Pinnacle Point, a $50 million project envisioned by Tupelo hotelier and developer Bruce Patel. The senior living community includes retail shops and restaurants – of which Steak ‘n Shake is the first – to complement the development.
Steak ‘n Shake will sit just north of Community Bank and across the street from Outback Steakhouse.
Franchise owner Matthew McKnight said the store should open by March of next year.
The architectural plans for the front of the restaurant are below; it’s a little different from the rendering above, but it gives you a good idea of what the restaurant will look like.
