A quick update:
Breakfast, lunch and brunch specialty restaurant Brick & Spoon will open in the Crye-Leike Plaza in October, its owners said today.
Darren and Kayla Stafford, who opened the Oxford Brick & Spoon a couple of months ago, expect a strong response from customers in Tupelo.
The Tupelo restaurant will be set up a little differently from Oxford, with a full-service style versus the express-style service implemented in the latter.
The hours are the same at both location: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
One of the features of the Tupelo location is a meeting room with roll-up glass doors that will seat 24, along with another 10 seats at five tables outside. Total seating at the restaurant will be 120.
The main dining room also will include a couple of bars – one for Bloody Marys.
According to the company, “Brick & Spoon features include hearty breakfast items and lunch fare paired with deliciously unique coffees and cocktails. Brick & Spoon will offer an array of Southern favorites such as shrimp and grits, Bananas in Pajamas, seafood entrees and their signature ‘build your own’ Bloody Mary, with over 50 options to choose from.”
Biscuits, beignets and omelets are on the menu, as well as cheeseburgers, sandwiches and salads.
