ACCO Brands is increasing its manufacturing capacity in Booneville by bringing in equipment to make paper clips. The company investing $944,300 and adding another 29 jobs with the expansion.
ACCO is one of the world’s largest suppliers of school, office and consumer products and print finishing solutions.
Total employment at the factory will increase to 550.
“For more than a decade, ACCO Brands has been a shining example of a valued corporate citizen – providing hundreds of jobs for the area’s workforce while investing in the local community,” Gov. Phil Bryant said.
Last year, ACCO rolled out two projects: the consolidation of additional North American distribution operations and the installation of new manufacturing equipment to enable the facility to produce and distribute a wide range of glass dry erase boards. About 35 jobs were added with those projects.
The company also expanded win 2016, a reshoring expansion project which brought 34 front-office jobs to Booneville from Manila, Philippines. In 2014, the company added call center operations, adding 162 jobs.

The Mississippi Development Authority is providing $300,000 to finish a railroad crossing, as well as $50,000 in Mississippi Works funding for workforce training. The city of Booneville and Prentiss County are providing local tax abatements on any additional equipment needed for the project.
ACCO has had a presence in Booneville since 2005, when it merged with Quartet, and completed a $55 million expansion in 2008 that added about 300 jobs.
