Mitch McCamey, chef and co-owner of Neon Pig, K.O.K. (Kermit’s Outlaw Kitchen) and King Chicken, will be competing June 30 in the “The Great Slider Showdown” in the Franklin, Tennessee, near Nashville.
Sponsored by Made South, the competition features 10 chefs from around the South who will “create their best version of the slider.”
The judges’ panel includes Alton Brown, the creator, writer and host of “Good Eats,” which ran for 14 years on the Food Network. He also hosted “Cutthroat Kitchen” and is the culinary commenter on “Iron Chef America.”
Maneet Chauhan is another judge. A James Beard Award-winner, she is founding partner in Morph Hospitality Group, which owns several restaurants in Nashville. Chauhan is a judge on Food Network’s “Chopped.”
