Tupelo’s description on the website says this:
How could anyone properly sum up 27 years of historic preservation, continual economic development, millions in public/private investment, and countless hours spent sustaining and enhancing the downtown experience? Downtown Tupelo is the physical embodiment of these 27 years of progress, made possible through the tireless efforts of the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association and the City of Tupelo. A vibrant town located in northeastern Mississippi, Tupelo is most famously known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley. Tupelo is where Elvis began his legacy, and downtown is where Tupelo begins its own legacy.
