The former Bella Italy restaurant on South Gloster Street, sandwiched between Captain D’s and Connie’s Chicken, is expected to open sometime early next year.
It’s called Cajun Seafood Grill, and as the name suggests, will offer a variety of cajun and seafood dishes, along with burgers and chicken. The menu isn’t ready, but we’ll find out more as we get closer to opening. It won’t be a buffet-type place, either, that I can tell you.
The exterior of the building has been repainted, and work is being done inside as well.
Hours of the Cajun Seafood Grill haven’t been set either.
We wish them well.
The location hasn’t had much success in recent years. Cajun Seafood Grill will be the sixth restaurant in the location since 2014.
In April 2014, it was CH Tenders Place, following the closure of what had been Los Potrillos.
From January 2015 until the spring of of that year, it was Sabor Es Mexico. That was followed by Sam’s Southern Eatery & Seafood , which opened in October 2015. It closed about a year later, giving way to Bella Italy, which opened in December of last year. The restaurant closed last month for a supposed “renovation,” but the signs were taken down shortly afterward.
