Sweet Peppers Deli in Tupelo has an all-new look, with a new branding to go along with new tables, chairs, and floors.
It will reopen Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Hours of the restaurant will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
It is the restaurant’s first major remodel since it opened in 1999.
In addition to the redesigned interior, which has been opened up to allow for better flow, the restaurant has a pickup window for call-in and online orders.
The restaurant is part of the Columbus-based Eat With Us Restaurants group (which also is parent to Harveys and Grill locations in Tupelo, Starkville and Columbus).
“We still have a grab-and-go area up front as well,” said Bernard Bean, the chief operating officer for Eat With Us restaurant group. “We rearranged the kitchen, too.”
The flow has been changed to make the kitchen more efficiently, Bean added. Some new items also have been added to the menu, including a BBQ nachos, Asian chicken salad, roast pork and apple sandwich, and roasted veggie pita.
A new self-serve drink station will help move the lines faster. The outdoor patio has a little draping that will provide some shade, though it’s not meant to keep rain off diners.
With new booths installed in the dining area, there also are power outlets for smartphone charging. Community tables also have been added.
Another added touch are acoustic panels added to the roof to help absorb some of the din of noise that can erupt from a full dining room.
