Construction on the Aldi store in Tupelo, seen earlier this week, is on schedule for a fall opening, company officials say.
Aldi’s Tupelo store construction is going along nicely, but we still don’t have a specific time frame yet. The company has been shooting for a fall opening, and an email today stuck to that general answer.
Troy Marshall, Aldi’s Mt. Juliet Division vice president that will oversee the Tupelo location said in an email today, “Thanks for your continued interest in Aldi! We plan to open our new Tupelo location this fall. We’ll be sure to follow up with additional details on the store’s grand opening, once available.”
So there you go.
Meanwhile, we mentioned back in July that Aldi also was building a store in Corinth, but hadn’t determined a site. At least we have a little more on that, and the location shouldn’t be much of a surprise to Alcorn County folks.
Said Marshall, “The upcoming Aldi store in Corinth will be located at 1801 S. Harper Road, and our goal is to open the store later this year, but we’re still finalizing the details. We’ll be in touch as soon as we have more information about the grand opening date and celebration for this store.”
That address is the Harper Square Shopping Center in Corinth.
We’re not sure of the size of the store, but the Aldi store in Tupelo covers 20,000 square feet, on the site of the former Ryan’s restaurant.
