Holland’s Country Buffet should be open next month, if everything goes according to plan.
The restaurant will replace what had been Margarita’s Mexican Grill in the The Shops at Barnes Crossing.
Margarita’s closed last year in the shopping plaza that’s also home to Dickey’s Barbecue, Bed Bath & Beyond, David’s Bridal, Leslie’s Pool Supplies and Dollar Tree.
Holland’s owner Haiwei Zhou said the restaurant will serve southern-style food from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily when it opens.
It will be strictly a buffet restaurant, and steak and catfish will be offered nightly. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant will have a seafood buffet that includes crab legs.
Pricing hasn’t been set yet for the buffet.
Meanwhile, the restaurant is getting new booths, tables and chairs, and when all is said and done, the place should fit about 170 diners.
There are five buffet tables, including one for salads and one for dessert. A self-serve ice-cream station also will be featured.
