Hobby Lobby Stores is having a grand-opening celebration at its Corinth store Monday morning at 9 a.m. The ceremony is open to the public.
The 55,000-square foot store is in Harper Square shopping center, at the South Harper Road and Highway 72.
The Corinth store, managed by Tammie Page is the 10th location in Mississippi for the privately held national retail chain of craft and home decor.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
Local dignitaries, ambassadors from The Alliance Chamber of Commerce and other business leaders will attend the celebration Monday.
“We feel blessed for the fantastic opportunity to be a part of the Corinth community,” said Kelly Black, Hobby Lobby’s director of advertising. “Our goal is for customers to experience the exceptional service, selection and value Hobby Lobby offers.”
Hobby Lobby has more than 750 stores nationwide, with each store offering more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products including floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies.
ON ANOTHER NOTE, next spring, Marshalls will be joining Hobby Lobby in Harper Square. The off-price retailer, part of the TJX Companies, which includes T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods, is opening a 20,000-square-foot store adjacent to Hobby Lobby. Marshalls has more than 1,030 stores in 46 states.
