H&M will take up 21,000 square feet at The Mall at Barnes Crossing
H&M, the popular global fast-fashion retailer, expects to open in late summer a company spokesman said.
While an exact date hasn’t been finalized, the opening of the 21,000-square foot store at The Mall at Barnes Crossing is a little earlier than projected.
It will be the Swedish company’s third store in Mississippi; the others are in Northpark Mall in Ridgeland and Tanger Outlets in Southaven.
H&M is the world’s second-largest clothing retailer, and is set to open 430 new stores this financial year, including locaton in new markets like Kazakhstan, Colombia, Iceland, Vietnam and Georgia.
HomeGoods is adjacent to Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Meanwhile, construction on a another new store at the mall, HomeGoods, is well underway. The store, which sells furniture, lamps, rugs and home decor, is located in the space adjacent to Dick’s Sporting Goods. The 24,000-square-foot-store is scheduled to open sometime this fall.
HomeGoods –whose sister companies are T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s under parent TJX Companies – has 579 stores in 45 states. HomeGood’s sales in fiscal 2017 grew to $4.41 billion.
The company’s other two Mississippi stores are in Madison and Flowood.
