The fall Tupelo Furniture Market gets underway Thursday and ends Sunday, and for the fifth year, the concurrent Furniture, Gift & Home Accessories Show will take place.
The furniture market trade show is open to registered retail buyers only in Buildings II-VI, but the FGHAS is open to the public in Building I. The Furniture, Gift & Home Accessories Show features appliances, jewelry, clothing and other fashion-related items.
The Show also is adding three fundraising elements this year. Tupelo High School’s booster club, The Salvation Army and Sanctuary Hospice House will be raising funds prior to and during the four days of the event.
• Tupelo High School students and boosters are selling raffler tickets, and winners will be drawn each day of the show. Prizes include a 10- carat amethyst ring set in 14 carat gold, a mink vest, 40-inch LED HDTV, a five-piece patio furniture set, formal dining room furniture, a lawn mower, a washer and dryer set and more.
• The Salvation Army and Sanctuary Hospice House will be on site all four days of the show.
• In addition, North Mississippi Health Services will host a free Health Fair on Thursday.
In addition to raffle prizes, there will be door prizes, and the third “Sparkles & Spirits” party, a fashion event showcasing local companies’ clothing and accessory lines will be held.
Also, Kay Bain will entertain the crowd Thursday, and the band WishBone will play Friday and Saturday afternoon.
The Furniture, Gift & Home Accessories Show times are: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Saturday; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
