Ms. Ruth’s is back; Sake Japanese Express on its way

We’ve got more restaurant news for ya today: Ms. Ruth's logo

First, Ms. Ruth’s in Verona is back!

You’ll remember she closed in December, is back by popular demand, it seems. Here’s an email that’s been sent:

Ms. Ruth’s long-time, loyal customers have spoken and Ms. Ruth listened. They told her they missed three things – her wonderful tasty food, the interesting atmosphere of her Verona location, and always seeing their friends when they went to eat at Ms. Ruth’s in Verona.  Well all that has been taken care of with the re-opening of the Verona location last Friday.

There is a whole new wall of Elvis memorabilia and new lower pricing and food service.  Plus now she open at 7 a.m. and offers a full cooked-to-order breakfast.  And has added salads, hamburgers to the lunch menu, and a Mexican burrito bar is coming soon.

Dine in or carry out Monday – Friday, lunch served 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

And the other piece of restaurant news is the addition of Sake Japanese Express in the Big Oaks Shopping Center. Most Sake Expresspeople will know that as the shopping center on North Gloster Street that’s home to Walmart, Jo-Ann’s, Game Stop, etc.
The owner was out when I dropped by, but a construction crew was inside working on what had been the National Guard recruiting office. The restaurant is adjacent to Subway.
We’ll try to get more info as it comes along. I’m pretty sure the restaurant is set up like Oishi Express, which opened last year in the Thompson Square shopping center on Barnes Crossing Road, which is anchored by Kroger and Metro Ford.
