Carol the elephant returning to Tupelo with circus
Carol is coming back!
According to Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, the Asian elephant, which, um, didn’t exactly have a great experience last time she was in town, will be making a triumphant return. Good for her. And Tupelo!
Carol, the Asian Elephant and all of her friends, will return to Tupelo in an all new show; Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents Super Circus Heroes playing April 3-6th at the BancorpSouth Arena.
With many thanks to the veterinarian team and the support of the Tupelo community, Carol recovered faster than expected. Carol is currently performing in Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents Super Circus Heroes.
Scheduled animals to appear in this year’s edition of Ringling Bros. presents Super Circus Heroes will be three Asian Elephants, three camels, two horses, seven miniature ponies and nineteen dogs. Ticketholders can see the animals backstage during the All Access Preshow that begins one hour before every show* (excluding 10:30 performances).
Statement on Carol, the Asian elephant, from Dr. Danni Graham, Director of Veterinary Care, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey:
“Carol has been doing well since the incident in Tupelo, MS last year. The area where she was shot has completely healed leaving only a small scar and does not cause Carol any issues. She is completely healthy and currently performing in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents Super Circus Heroes which plays at the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo April 3-6, 2014.”
