Kilgore’s Supermarket, which has been around since at least the early 1970s, is starting a major renovation.
By June, the store will have new flooring, ceiling and lights, along with new shelving and signs.
Modern, efficient LED-lit coolers and freezers will replace the old ones on the sales floor.
But the bulk of the work won’t be seen by customers. New cold prep areas in the back of the store and an expansion in the warehouse are part of the project.
The facade of the building also will be renovated, but that’s secondary to the work inside.
And if you’ll recall, Kilgore’s became a part of Food Giant last year, but retained its name.
