CDF warns of unauthorized ad sales solicitation

UPDATE: Earlier today, the CDF said a company, Level 3 Communications, was calling CDF members about advertising. Turns out there also calling under the name National Business Advertising.

The bottom line, the CDF says, is that members should not respond to any advertising solicitations that claim to be affiliated with the CDF.

Several CDF members have reported this morning that a Kentucky-based company, Level 3 Communications, has contacted them posing as their “local Chamber of Commerce” selling or giving away advertising on University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University sports schedules. Please note that Level 3 Communications is in no way affiliated with the Community Development Foundation, and has not been authorized to sell advertising on our behalf.

If you receive a suspicious call from this company or any other company posing as or representing your local Chamber or the Community Development Foundation, please let us know.

You can call the CDF at (662) 842-4521
