Green Monday, coined by eBay to describe their best sales day in December, takes place on December 9 this year and has become a major online shopping day. Last year Green Monday (Dec. 10) reached $1.275 billion in spending according to ComScore data and was one of the largest days for holiday shopping behind Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Green Monday sales were $854 million in 2009 and $1.133 billion in 2011.
