New restaurant to open in former Fusion 205/Gloster 205

We’ve been writing a lot about restaurant openings lately in Tupelo, haven’t we? JP's

Well, we’ve got another: JP’s. It’s going in the location that was most recently Fusion 205. Before that, it was Gloster 205.

And no, let’s not get it confused with the former JP’s nearby –  Jefferson Place.

The new JP’s is named for co-owner Janet Patterson, whom many of you may know as the former manager at Romie’s Barbecue, which closed recently.

Patterson hopes to open JP’s on Oct. 26. The food will be basic All-American fare – sandwiches, burgers, steaks, etc., but Patterson said the food will be more reasonably priced.

There will be a full bar – three of them, in fact – along with a game room for adults with a ping pong table and electronic dartboards.

The 8,000-square-foot place has room for entertainment, too, and some of the walls are being removed to give it a more open feel. And

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday, then reopen in the evenings from 4 p.m. to close. Saturday hours will be 4 p.m. to close. It will not be open on Sunday.

JP’s has a Facebook page as well

Think they’ll be able to get the urinal cake stench out of that building that Fusion 205 couldn’t?

We were wondering the same thing….

I was there opening night. It’s like a totally different place and they’ve done a lot of work to it. It was great! No stench, people. Maybe some folks just need to learn to aim a little better. ;)
