Scenes from Toyota’s Team Mississippi Appreciation Day

There were clowns, fire performers, aerial performers, fireworks, confetti, fire and at Toyota’s Team Mississippi Appreciation Day today at the BancorpSouth Arena today, where several thousand Toyota employees, supplier employees and their families were invited to join the big celebration mentioned in the previous post.

Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager of Toyota Motor Sales, the marketing and selling arm for Toyota Motor Corp. in the U.S., flew in from California to join the festivities.

He said the new 11th-generation Toyota Corolla  has started to arrive at dealerships, and some 1,100 of the new 2014 model during the last few days of August. For the year, Toyota expects to sell about 300,000 of the Corollas (mostly of the older version, of course), but expects to sell 330,000 Corollas next year.

These aren’t great photos from the event at the arena, taken inside the arena with the iPhone, along with a couple outside. There will be better photos in the Daily Journal tomorrow.
