Kermit’s Outlaw Kitchen set to open
You’ve been watching and waiting, and it’s here: From the team that brought you the Neon Pig (one of Mississippi top five best new restaurants, according to Mississippi magazine) comes Kermit’s Outlaw Kitchen, or KOK.
We wrote about their idea a few months back here.
I spoke to Mitch McCamey today, and he’s ready to open what he firmly believes will be “one of America’s Top 100 restaurants.”
It’s an all-local flavor involved, with the beef sourced from local cattlemen and the wood-fired grill made by Hawkeye Industries in Tupelo.
A reservation only luncheon Thursday and a Friday evening dinner are booked, but there are a few openings left for Saturday’s cocktail party from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at $20 per person.
Call the Neon Pig at 269-2533 for a spot.
Meantime, Biz Buzz will be getting a look at KOK Thursday before it opens, and we’ll post more info and photos.
