FRIDAY UPDATE: Been away from the laptop for a few hours, but as noted by Tupelo Guy below, I tweeted earlier today that Sao, the new Thai restaurant in Tupelo, will open at 5 p.m. today.
Some prep work being done in the kitchen at Sao this morning.
The owners also have a Thai restaurant in Columbus.
The Tupelo location, starting tomorrow, will open daily at 11 a.m.,
ALSO, they tell us for now, they have to take cash only because the credit card machine wasn’t set up as expected, but they hope to have that taken care of by early next week.
And, NO BUFFET, folks. You’ll have to order off the menu (gasp!). Trust me, it’s better that way.
I got a taste of a homemade sauce the chef was making with fresh Thai red chilies, lemongrass, garlic and some other ingredients, and it was out-of-this world.
What we posted yesterday:
Well, just happened to drive by the place this afternoon, and according to the sign, the new Thai restaurant in Tupelo, Sao, will open on Friday.
We don’t have any details yet, but we’ll try to get them an update you ASAP.
The restaurant took over the space that was most recently Cristina’s International Cuisine, which was Shogun immediately before that.
If you get a chance to get you out there before Biz Buzz does, feel free to post comments about it.
