Dennen Steel wins suppliers’ award

Dennen Steel is a recipient of the Steelcase 2013 Premier Suppliers Award.  This is the first year for this award image001from Steelcase.  The awards were announced during the Steelcase Supplier Summit at the Grand Rapids Campus.

Dennen Steel has operations in 3 locations: its corporate headquarters and 95,000 square foot operation in Grand Rapids, Mich., a  35,000 square-foot operation in Burns Harbor, Ind., and a 50,000 square-foot facility in Iuka at the Yellow Creek Port.

Said the company:

Dennen’s strategic advantage is their business relationships with major steel mills and internal slitting operations that support stamping production.  The Yellow Creek Port  location uniquely positions Dennen to receive 35-ton master coils by barge from numerous southern steel mills.
Dennen Steel supplies a diverse customer market that includes; heavy truck, office furniture, appliance, agriculture and automotive.
The Premier Supplier Award is based on achievement of five goals set by Steelcase;
·        Product Quality Rating of 195 to 200
·        Green Quality Score for the entire year
·        Contract Complete
·        Strategic Supplier
·        Book of Business over $250K
Dennen successfully achieved these goals for the 2013 Steelcase fiscal year.
