Aunt B’s Soul Food Restaurant has been open for two weeks, occupying the former Smith’s Barbecue at 2750 South Green Street in Tupelo.
Owned by Thomas Woods, the restaurant offers goodies, such as today’s menu that includes chitterlings (or chittlins, if you prefer) and turkey neck bones, smothered pork chops, collard greens and several other veggies.
Other menu items the restaurant has offered include meatloaf, chicken and dressing, fried chicken, catfish, smoked chicken, mac and cheese, mustard greens and other delectables.
A one meat, two veggie plate costs $6.50. The chittlerlings plate costs a little more, they said.
The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Friday, it’s open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and also adds dinner hours of 4 p.m. to 9 p.m On Saturday, it’s open from noon to 9 p.m.

The restaurant also serves burgers, a fish sandwich, a loaded Polish and a bologna sandwich.
Sides include french fries, sweet potato fries, veggies and dessert. Apparently they also serve a “world famous purple sweet potato pie.”
Breakfast menu items include biscuits, which you can have with bacon, sausage, tenderloin and egg. Pancakes and grits also are available.
