Work starts on Gap outlet in Tupelo

Tupelo is getting a Gap Factory Store, in case you haven’t heard (previous coverage). 

The factory store is going in the former Circuit City – Furniture Center – Spirit Halloween store, which is next to Old Navy. The plans (see pictures below) call for a remodel of the interior and exterior of the building.

We swung by Wednesday and the Halloween stuff is gone. Crews are in the process of converting the store, which is slated to open in 2013.

This is how the building started its life:
