TUPELO, Miss. – The Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau (Tupelo CVB) will launch its second annual Tourism Leadership Program in December, 2012.
The program is a 6-month initiative to grow participant’s awareness of the tourism industry and is open to people working in Tupelo’s hospitality industry. Each day is scheduled from 9am – 3pm.
Applications are being accepted by the Tupelo CVB now through October 15, 2012. Applicants will be notified on November 12th if they have been accepted to participate in the program. The program is free.

“We are pleased to be able to offer this program to the industry,” stated Neal McCoy, executive director of the Tupelo CVB. “It’s important for Tupelo’s success as a tourism destination that the entire industry is on the same page about what we have to offer. I feel like this program will affect those taking the course and it will have a trickle down effect to other industry employees.”
